About us

The Tripura State Dental Council is the statutory body created as per the provision of section 21 of the Dentist Act, 1948 with an objective to regulate the profession of Dentistry. Accordingly, the Tripura Govt. Constituted the Tripura State Dental Council Vide notification No. F.1(2)-B.O.DENTAL/DHS/2013 dated 07th December, 2019.

Functions

• Tripura State Dental Council will maintain a State list of Dental Surgeons as well as Dental Hygienists, Dental Mechanics, Dental Operating Room Assistants (Govt./Private Practitioners) who are entitled to practice modern Dentistry and will act as a database for all Dental surgeons and allied professionals who are practicing in the field of Dentistry in the State.
• Tripura State Dental Council will monitor & regulate the quality of practice on modern system of Dentistry in the State and strive to protect the rights of registered practitioners e.g. from frivolous litigation and to process legal action against any type of unethical practice.

Objectives

• Tripura State Dental Council will provide registration to the intending eligible Dental Surgeons/Dental Hygienists/Dental Mechanics/Dental Operating Room Assistants.
• Practicing Dentistry in any form in the State of Tripura either in Government or private sector without Tripura State Dental Council Registration, as the case may be, will be treated as illegal and unlawful.
